Hello, you may not remember me or know me because I mostly read and rarely post. I thought I would take advantage of my down time to post an update.
I daily drive an unicorn, the 2011 Saab 9-5 Turbo4. And no, it’s not a manual.
I bought it in October of 2014 with 30,000 miles. It’s currently sitting at 99,000 miles. This car has seen a lot and experienced a lot.
Most notable are the three accidents I’ve had. All were not my fault. I was rear ended in November of 2016 so I chose to wait until school was out for the year to get fixed. In March of 2017, I hit a coyote, meep-meep mother fuc...then in May of 2017, I was side-swiped by a yellow Porsche 718. I’ve fixed them all and profited 2,000.
I know we all like pictures. So here goes

Your speedo has a Pip-Boy in it.

The side swipe ^
The rear ender ^ that was the most serious damage. The bumper had some scuffs and deep gouged.
When I hit the coyote. There was a license plate but it appears to have embedded itself in the coyote.

Only have done a brake job and one battery. One of the best cars I have had. It drices beautifully, handles beautiful, and gives me good gas mileage for the commute.

Beautiful! Always really liked the end of the line Saabs. Does this one have the XWD or is it FWD?

It’s FWD. I didn’t want XWD because of additional maintenance. That would require fluid and filter change every 30k miles.

Does it ever feel...Malibu-y? I test-drove an automatic 9-5 4-cyl and I couldn’t get GM out of my head; maybe it’s some purist snobbery on my part, having a 9000 as a daily driver.

poor coyote.
friend of mine hit a prairie chicken in the same spot. youre lucky the coyote was too big to get in that vent. my friend spent 15 minutes pulling chicken out of his radiator.

Love those things ... and there are deals to be had.

I’ve not had the chance to own or drive a pre-gm Saab. The only malibu-y part that’s obvious is the generic radio. I don’t use the radio so that’s barely noticeable

However, the driving dynamics is uniquely Saab. It’s tough to put in words the dynamics but I wouldn’t trade it for anything else

I adore these 9-5's, It would be a dream to have a the wagon but they are so rare that there’s even a website that tracks them:
Does everything still work and does it have any squeaks or rattles?
